President Bola Tinubu has reassured Nigerians of the government’s commitment to maintaining peace and improving the economy, promising that the country will not yield to those attempting to disrupt unity and security.
Speaking at an Interfaith Iftar gathering with religious and traditional leaders at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday evening, Tinubu emphasized that Nigeria is making tangible progress in tackling insecurity. “The terrorists are now in a desperate situation because they are losing ground,” he said, noting the resilience of the nation in the face of ongoing threats.
Beyond security, the President highlighted signs of economic recovery. “The economy has started to improve, and older citizens are beginning to feel some relief,” he stated, underscoring efforts to create stability and growth for all Nigerians.
Tinubu also reaffirmed his personal dedication to service, vowing to lead with loyalty and determination. “We are not discouraged. We will win in a strong and fair way,” he said, offering a message of hope and unity for Nigerians navigating current challenges.
Analysts say the dual focus on security and economic stabilization is critical to boosting public confidence and ensuring sustained national development.
