Motorists and transport operators across Nigeria are set to benefit from a significant reduction in fuel prices following a new pricing template released by Dangote Refinery on March 10, 2026.

According to the refinery, the price of petrol at the gantry has dropped by ₦100, bringing it down from ₦1,175 to ₦1,075 per litre. Coastal deliveries will now see petrol priced at ₦1,050 per litre, reflecting a slight adjustment to account for maritime distribution costs.

Diesel, also known as Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), has been reduced by ₦190 per litre, from ₦1,620 to ₦1,430 at the gantry. The refinery emphasized that these prices exclude additional fees from the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).

The adjustments come as welcome news for commercial drivers, transport companies, and everyday Nigerians, potentially easing rising transportation and logistics costs nationwide. Analysts suggest that this reduction could temporarily ease inflationary pressure linked to fuel price hikes.
