Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma, who passed away on Friday.
The family confirmed her demise in a brief statement, noting that she had been dealing with age-related health complications that became more severe in recent weeks.
Sources close to the family disclosed that her health reportedly declined further amid concerns surrounding her son’s situation with the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).
It was gathered that El-Rufai had been actively involved in overseeing his mother’s care before her passing.
The family offered prayers for the deceased, asking Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus.
