LG Electronics has intensified its push into artificial intelligence-driven home solutions across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), unveiling a unified portfolio of smart appliances at InnoFest 2026 and Mega HORECA 2026.
The dual exhibitions, held in Abu Dhabi and Nigeria, signal LG’s strategy to localise global AI innovations while addressing the practical needs of households and hospitality operators in the region.
LG Targets MEA Market With AI-Powered Smart Ecosystem
At InnoFest 2026 in Abu Dhabi, LG presented a connected smart home ecosystem integrating appliances, air solutions and intelligent controls designed to improve energy efficiency, personalisation and everyday convenience.
The company highlighted its expanding AI-driven platform, where devices interact seamlessly to optimise performance based on user behaviour and environmental conditions.
According to LG, showcasing identical innovations across different markets reinforces its commitment to inclusiveness and real-world AI application tailored to regional demands.
AI Wash, AI Dry Lead Residential Laundry Expansion
A key highlight of the exhibition was LG’s advanced residential laundry lineup, featuring AI Wash and AI Dry technologies that automatically detect fabric types and load sizes to enhance washing performance while reducing energy use.
Leading the category was the 29-inch LG SIGNATURE Wash Combo — an all-in-one washer-dryer designed for high-capacity performance. The company also expanded its WashTower range with 24-inch, 25-inch and 27-inch models, offering flexible installation options suited for modern urban homes.
‘Fit & Max’ Concept Reinforces Smart Kitchen Innovation
In the kitchen segment, LG introduced its “Fit & Max” concept, combining built-in aesthetics with intelligent features aimed at maximising space and efficiency.
The LG InstaView French Door refrigerator attracted attention with its zero-clearance hinge design for seamless kitchen integration and AI Fresh technology that adjusts cooling levels based on usage patterns.
LG said its diverse refrigerator lineup strengthens its position in the competitive MEA appliance market.
Mega HORECA 2026 Brings AI Solutions to Nigerian Market
Building on its Abu Dhabi showcase, LG extended the same AI innovations to Nigeria at Mega HORECA 2026, giving hospitality operators and consumers hands-on access to its latest smart technologies.
The exhibition featured adaptive cooling refrigerators, AI-enabled laundry systems, smart cooking appliances and advanced air-conditioning units tailored for hotels, restaurants and residential spaces.
Among the standout products was LG’s flagship dehumidifier from its Eco Solutions range, engineered to reduce moisture, prevent mould growth and operate quietly for extended hours.
LG West Africa Reaffirms Local Commitment
President of LG West Africa, Hyoung Sub Ji, stated that the company remains focused on delivering locally optimised smart solutions that align with consumer needs in the region.
He emphasised that continuous innovation and strategic partnerships are central to LG’s growth strategy across the Middle East and Africa.
Through its participation at InnoFest 2026 and Mega HORECA 2026, LG reiterated its ambition to make AI-powered smart living solutions globally competitive while remaining accessible and relevant to local markets.
