The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Olakunle Nafiu, has called on members of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream I to sustain the values of discipline, patriotism, and selfless service acquired during their one-year national assignment.
In a congratulatory message marking the completion of their service year, Nafiu commended the corps members for their resilience, dedication, and contributions to national development across various communities in the country. He noted that their efforts have made meaningful impact in critical sectors, reinforcing the relevance of the NYSC scheme in fostering unity and development.
The NYSC boss urged the outgoing corps members to see the end of their service not as a conclusion, but as the beginning of greater responsibility in nation-building. According to him, the lessons learned during the programme should guide their future decisions and actions as they transition into the next phase of life.
“As you move forward, remain committed to personal development and continue to contribute positively to society,” he said, stressing that Nigeria’s progress depends on the collective efforts of its young citizens.
Nafiu also wished them success in their future endeavours, reminding them that they will always remain part of the NYSC family and ambassadors of the scheme’s core values.
