The Ogun State Government has visited hospitalised Nigerian TikToker Mirabel (@mirab351) following her allegation of rape in the Ogijo area of Ogun State, as authorities launch a coordinated investigation into the incident.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Adijat Adeleye, disclosed this in an official statement on Friday, confirming that the state has activated a multi-sectoral response to address the alleged sexual assault.
Mirabel Receiving Medical Care at State Facility
According to Adeleye, Mirabel has been admitted to a state-owned health facility in Ogun State, where she is receiving comprehensive medical care, detailed clinical examination, and psychosocial support in line with established protocols for managing alleged sexual assault cases.
She stated that the TikToker is responding positively to treatment.
“The visit was aimed at assessing her medical condition and ensuring that appropriate welfare and clinical interventions are promptly administered,” the commissioner said.
Ogun Government Orders Evidence-Based Investigation
The Ogun State Government reiterated its zero-tolerance policy toward sexual and gender-based violence while emphasizing that investigations must follow due process.
Adeleye said security agencies are conducting parallel investigations as medical examinations continue.
“This structured approach is intended to protect the survivor’s welfare while guaranteeing that investigations are conducted professionally, thoroughly, and strictly on the basis of verifiable evidence,” she stated.
She added that anyone found culpable would face prosecution in accordance with the law.
Police, Justice Ministry Commended
The commissioner commended the Ogun State Police Command for its swift response after the case was transferred from Lagos State authorities. She also praised the medical personnel and the State Ministry of Justice for their prompt action.
She urged the public to refrain from speculative narratives or sensational commentary that could undermine ongoing investigations.

Alleged Rape Incident in Ogijo Triggers Public Outrage
Mirabel had earlier alleged in a viral social media video that a male suspect forcibly gained entry into her apartment in Ogijo, Ogun State, and sexually assaulted her.
The allegation sparked widespread reactions online, with many social media users demanding justice and stronger protections for survivors of sexual violence in Nigeria.
Authorities have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
